Facebook is evil
I have totally neglected my blog. With Christmas rapidly approaching and totally becoming addicted Facebook. Cubmommy has collected dust.
So to update.
I started exercising in September using Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred and Core Rhythms and at the end of November I had lost 14 pounds and a pant size. I can tell you I am close to what I weighed in high school. I am very excited. Not to brag but I am in size 4 jeans. I have worked every hard for this and I have hated every minute of it. I started this to be healthy and have some energy to be able to keep up with the kids. Hard work has paid off. I am stronger and healthier.
It looks like Big Cubby has pink eye again. As you remember last Christmas we had to cancel our trip to visit family because he got pink eye and gave it to all of us. So YAY! It doesn't seem bad this time so I am not sure if it really is pink eye. I had all ready had an appointment for Ladybug's check up today so I called in BC and took him. The doctor really didn't look at his eyes just gave me a free sample of eye drops and prescription if the rest of us get it. BC has his class party tomorrow I hoping he will be able to go. That is if we don't get the predicted snowfall this evening. Talking about a foot of snow.
So I am not done with Christmas shopping, haven't sent out Christmas cards, no cookies made, no presents wrapped. I am doing awesome people.
When I feel like I am getting stressed out about the holidays I read this quote from Bill McKibben "There is no idea Christmas; only the one Christmas you decide to make as a reflection of your values, desires, affections, traditions."
On that note I think I will have a beer and start addressing cards. No worries.

Happy Thanksgiving and my new laptop
Just wanted to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving and to tell you I am thankful for all of you who have stayed with me and keep reading. You are great blog friends.
I will be checking in less this week due to travel and the holiday.
Good news is that I should be able to blog more now that I have a new laptop computer.
Take care and be safe!

It has been too long
You can blame Facebook for my absence here. I have been kind of obsessed.
I do have a question for anybody still reading this blog.
If you have a little girl, what age was her first haircut?
You see Ladybug's hair is very thin and not has long as I like but her hair is kind of all over the place. Should she just have her bangs cut? I want her to have long hair so I am afraid to cut it but I have heard cutting the hair helps it grow faster. True?
Something needs to be done. I don't think I can do it myself. Chalk it up to haircut trauma when my mother and grandmother cut my hair. Not pretty.
Any advice?

All right I did it, I signed up on Facebook. In doing so, I have reconnected with some people I went to high school with. At first I was hesitant because I hated high school and did not care to see anybody again. Now that I am an old woman I am softening a little.
Actually it was really interesting that the people I connected with. We will see where it goes. The good thing is that I have reconnected with my best friend through junior high and high school and that was really great catching up with her.
My 20th renuion is in 2010 so maybe it is a good thing to see what these people are doing. Only time will tell.

Hmmm
What to say, what to say. Well not much to say.
It has been pretty boring with just doing routine things each week. We did go out and take some photos of the kids for our annual pictures. The individual ones turned out pretty good but the group shots did not. So we will be out again trying for the group pic of the kids.
After a bad experience at Sears with photos we decided to take our own and for the last 3 years we have and I think they are better then the studio.
Here are a few from this weekend.

been in mourning
Sorry I have been in mourning over the Cubs. Slowly getting over it.
In good news Big Cubby has had no problems going into school for two weeks!!! That is right no crying, getting out of line, getting angry or having the teacher nudge him into the building. It started when Hubby took him to school one day and he did fine so he told BC he had to act this way with me and he did.
We are very proud of him.
Now if I can get my 4 year old to use the potty things would be awesome!!

At least no fits
Well it has been a month since school started and every morning I have had to hand off Big Cubby to his teacher as he refuses to move to get in line and tears up a little. Good news is that there have not being in screaming fits like the one Monday where I dragged him to school.
Still he plays with his friends before the bell rings and then when it rings he comes to me and doesn't want to get in line.
I am over it now. I just say bye and have a good day as I gently push him to the line then the teacher intercepts and I take my other two little ones and head for the van.
He is fine once he gets into school and actually has fun and a good day. I tell I am tired of this morning ritual. I found out there is another little boy in a different first grade class have problems as well his start at home and getting into the car but once he is at the school he is fine.
At least I am not alone. We will see how this week goes.
On Friday 20 minutes before the bell to end school went off, I get a call from the school nurse telling me that BC had a headache and a slight fever. I had just pulled up to the school so I went in to get him. Just as we were pulling up to the house BC starts throwing up in the van. I jump out trying to unlock the doors and finally get him out where he threw up on the ground. Too late for the van though.
I spent Saturday trying to clean the carpet to get the smell out. I vacuumed and washed it down. I still smell it faintly and I don't know if it is just me because the smell burns the nose or if it is actuall still there. So gross.

Update from yesterday
Hubby came home from work early yesterday and all of us went to pick up Big Cubby from school. I took the kids and headed for the van while Hubby talked with BC's teacher.
Five minutes after he got into class he settled down and was good and participated all day. He came out of school with a smile on his face.
When we got home we had a talk and basically he wants to stay home and play. He is afraid that his brother is playing with his toys.
His teacher told him it is his job to go to school and it is my job to take him to school and take care of him and is sibiling. It is his daddy's job to go to work. She sets a timer and tells him when it goes off he has to come and join the class. He did.
His punishment at home was he had to donate a toy which we picked out and it would be gone for ever. He was very upset with this but the point was driven home we are going to do what we say and that school is more important than toys. He has been warned that more toys will be gone if he keeps this up.
At first we thought it might be problems with kids in his class. The teacher says not the case. First graders are watched pretty closely. The even have to wait by the door when school is out until a parent goes up to get them.
So all the drama because he wants to play. Here is hoping today will be better.

Oh boy it got worse
Today was the big one. Big Cubby had a full out breakdown this morning before school. It started at home right when we were going to leave for school. I had a horrible time trying to get him in the van. I did and then he would not get into his seat and buckle up.
I had Hubby on the phone and basically told him he goes to school or all his new toys he got for his birthday are thrown away. That did not stop him.
We eventually got to school but he did not want to leave the van. I finally coaxed him out of the van and locked it up. He refused to leave the side of the van and would not cross the street to school. I had to pull him across. Meanwhile I had to have someone hold Ladybug and watch Little Cubby as I pulled him across the school yard to the door he goes into. All the kids and parents watched as BC screamed and cried that he did not want to go to school and that he thought it was boring. I get him to his line and hand him off to his teacher and said I am so sorry. I turned around started crying and grabbed my two other kids and headed to the van.
I turned around and I see BC throwing himself on the floor in the school.
He says he misses me and that school is boring. I know that once he is there he is fine and has fun.
This was the most embarassing moment BC and I have ever had. I don't know what else to do. I know it is early still but we are going into the third week and he has all ready had a year at this school. I pray that he gets better soon.
There is no way I can homeschool this kid. I don't have the patience or ability to do this. We are too much alike. It would not work out.
I feel sick to my stomach.

Two bad days
This week Big Cubby had two bad days. Wednesday and today. What I mean about bad days is crying before going into school after the bell has rung.
Wednesday I know it was from being tired we all were because Little Cubby was up all night crying because he said there were bugs. There were no bugs and I don't have the slightest idea of were he got this in his head.
So it was obvious BC was tired. His teacher was great. She took him by the shoulders and guided him in.
Today, I was not expecting it. The bell rang and he started crying telling me he was going to miss me. I reassured him and his teacher lead him to the front of the line and into the school. I turned and walked away quickly. I don't know what caused it today. We all seemed to have slept well last night.
I am having flashbacks of last year when he kicked and screamed on the floor at school. I haven't seen any other kid (all first graders line up in the same area and go in the same door)act like this.
It breaks my heart and is embarassing at the same time.
He does like school and once he is in has fun. Don't know if I can handle more of this.
I just pray that he finds peace at school and realizes that he is not missing anything at home and is having more fun there then here.
We will see how next week goes.
This weekend we are having his birthday party at Pump It Up! 19 kids are coming should be entertaining. Wish me luck.

Back to School
We are on our third day of First Grade and knock on wood everything seems to be going well. Big Cubby has been pretty happy going into school when the bell rings. He is very tired when he gets home from school due to the fact he is not used to being gone all day.
Last night we had a melt down because he was so tired. It was a very difficult night. He told me he liked going to school in the morning but not in the afternoon. He wants to come home after lunch. I explained to him that he would miss all the fun stuff that happens in the afternoon if he came home. I was afraid this morning we would have a meltdown but he was happy and went in to school with no problems.
Big Cubby's new teacher is soooo nice and she has been at the school for a long time so she has seen it all. One of the mother's I talked to said she is the best teacher in the whole school.
So we begin on a good note. It has been awesome around the house while he is in school. It is quiet and not stressful. I am enjoying it. Little Cubby misses BC though.
Here is to a great school year for everybody!!

Scene from the Mall
A couple of weekends ago, we went to the mall to look for Fall clothes for me for my birthday.
While the kids were watching this fountain and Hubby off to get us coffee, I happen to see this family of four that just left the Build-a-Bear Workshop with two newly made bears. The children were two little girls I am guessing 4 years old and 2 years old. The younger in a stroller. The husband and wife stop by the fountain so the little girls could watch while they talked.
I happen to look up and I saw the father's t-shirt. I read it and could not believe my eyes and had to read it again to be sure that was what it said. This is what it said:
Yes I love you, my d**ks hard, isn't
I did not want to write out the d word fully but you get the idea.
I kid you not. This was what a father of two daughters had on his shirt at the mall. I was shocked and it takes a lot to shock me. When Hubby came back with the coffees I told him about it. He could not believe it either.
What possess a grown man with a family to wear something like this? He wasn't young either. What possess a woman to let her husband wear this shirt around their daughters much less let him out of the house with it on?
I am not a prude but having children has made me more aware of things out there that I don't want them to have to deal with. Thank goodness Big Cubby who can read was paying attention to the water fountain.
Some people.
PS. I tried to find it online but could not. I have no idea where he got it or if he had it made personally.

I was born on this day. Yeah, today is my 36th birthday.
So now I am getting old and you know how I can tell besides the wrinkles and gray hair, the 80's are retro and cool now. The JCPenny commerial redoing the Breakfast Club. The great teen movies from the 80's are being repackaged. It is hip with the young people.
So another year another wrinkle.
Oh and the with this picture you would have thought I would have grown up to take my clothes off for money.
Happy Birthday to me!

where the time has gone
I don't know.
The past week has been very boring. Just living life. Going to T-Ball which by the way Big Cubby's last game is tonight. We have been laying low.
Hubby still has a job. He still is not sure what he will be doing. He did have a meeting with his new bosses at the new company and it sounds like he may be promoted but we don't know what that means yet. Everybody at the office are still in the old office and at the end of August they will moving and joining the new company at their building. So since right now they are not in the same building there is a lot of confusion and missed communication. Just frustrating for him right now.
We have been very blessed and I don't take anything for granted.
We finally got over all this cold and flu stuff. Yay!!
I know this is so boring. Sorry.
I will try to post pics soon of the kids. They are growing so fast.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog
I loved the Buffy and Angel shows back in the day. I really enjoyed Firefly. So it is no surprise that I am in love with Joss Whedon's new internet venture.
Here is the link to Act 1 and Act 2 of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Act 3 will air July 19th.

It is awesome! I love Neil Patrick Harris.
Hurry and watch it won't last long. By July 20th it will be gone.

evil in this world
Some lowlife, no good, evil man stole my Hubby's wallet on Friday night.
You see at the train station there are people, who won't get a real job, wait outside for cabs and when they pull up will open the door for you then expect some kind of cash. They will also hail you a cab or try to sell you a free paper.
So one of these people opens the door for Hubby and of course he knows this scam tells the guy to bug off. Meanwhile, Hubby has two bags and is trying to get out of the cab but one is stuck. Unfortunetly the pocket on his bag was open where is wallet is and the man swiped it.
When Hubby got on the train and reached in to get the ticket out of the wallet it was gone. He called me right away. I looked up the numbers for bank and credit cards and told him to call right away. He did.
The person was only able to get 20 bucks in cash and he used our bank card for $128 dollars at a grocery store probably for liquor.
We caught it right away and that is all the damage they could do. We took care of everything else. Also the man can't use Hubby's drivers license because he is a different race then Hubby.
With quick thinking and not waiting to see if it was found in the cab we made the right decision in cancelling all the cards.
Hubby has learned an available lesson.
I was really pissed Friday night and wanted to wring Hubby's neck. Next time he will be more careful and not drink a lot while downtown Chicago.

RIP Goldie/Summer colds
Goldie passed away on Sunday. Big Cubby was upset and said he wished he never played the game and won him. I told him Goldie got to live with a family for awhile which was nice compared to living in a plastic bag at a carnival. In a matter of minutes BC was asking for a turtle.
Over the holiday weekend we had sick kids. Big Cubby was first with two days on fever with a sore throat. Then Saturday Little Cubby had a fever then proceed to throw up all day. Monday Ladybug had a fever. Now BC, LC, Ladybug and myself have a cough, runny nose and congestion. Good times.
I really hate summer colds and flu.

RIP Retro
Retro passed away today. I guess I jinxed them. Goldie is still hanging on. Little Cubby was told and all he said was "Mommy I am hungry" so he really did not understand. I am sure tomorrow when he sees that his fish is gone he might think about it for a minute.
So Retro you were a good fish and we enjoyed you for the week we had you. Farewell.

Fish still alive
The goldfish the boys won last Saturday are still alive. This is a big deal for us because we tried this a couple of years ago and we couldn't keep them alive for two days.
Every night when Hubby comes home from work he sees the fish and says "Those things are still alive?"
The boys have named them. Big Cubby named his Goldie and Little Cubby named his Retro. We have no idea where LC got that name.
Every couple of days Hubby and I have to clean out their bowls because I bought two small plastic fish bowls for them. That is kind of a pain.
Goldie and Retro and doing well and that is all we can ask.

so I suck at posting right now
Can't believe it has been a week since I posted. So here is an update on the week.
We have been busy with T-Ball/Coaches Pitch for Big Cubby. He has games on Tuesday and practice on Thursday nights. He loves it!
Our town had its Heritage Festival this weekend. It literally happened around the corner from where we live so it makes it very convenient you walk there. Unfortunatley we hear the fireworks each night of the fest around 10pm Not fun.
We went on Saturday and the boys had a blast. They got to ride the carnival rides and see Spiderman. They won prizes and ate a lot of food.
Ladybuy was so good the whole day. It helped that we could take a break and walk home for naps.
The boys both won goldfish. I went out and bought bowls, food and rocks for them. Believe it or not they are still alive. I am amazed.
I got sunburned on my back I guess I did not put sunscreen on my back very well.
On Sunday at the theater around the corner, they had a special event for the fest. Mark DeCarlo was there talking about animation and voiceing for cartoons. If you don't know Mark DeCarlo does many voices but is famous for Hugh Neutron the father of Jimmy Neutron that is on Nick. The boys love that show. So I took just Big Cubby to see him talk. It was an interactive show and he got people on stage to do voices for cartoons and such. It was funny and entertaining. Big Cubby did get antsy toward the end. Afterwards, Mark DeCarlo signed postcard with Hugh Neutron and the family for people who wanted it. So we waited in line and Big Cubby got to meet him and get a personalized autographed postcard. Mark DeCarlo was very nice.
We had a fun and exhausting weekend. I will be posting pictures of T-ball and carnival as soon as Hubby resizes the photos for me.
PS. Nothing in writing yet but Hubby was told from his boss he has a job. Now it comes down to what he will be doing and what the pay will be or even if he wants it. Hopefully this week there will be a definite answer.

Happy 1st Birthday Ladybug

Happy Birthday Ladybug! One year ago today you were born into our family. This year has flown by. You are getting to be such a big girl. You can pull yourself up on everything and have taken a few steps while holding onto the couch.
Things you love: your brothers, singing, dancing, nursing(yeah trying to wean her of this), music, your blankie, cake, kisses, smiling at everybody, and yelling at your brothers.
You were a wonderful surprise and we love you very much.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Update
Just a quick update about Hubby's job. We still don't know if he has a job yet. There have been meetings and figuring out where people fit. If there are redundent positions then one will have to go. It seems that the higher ups in his company are lobbying for him but there are no quarantees.
There is no word on when the decisions will be made. He is hoping to hear the beginning of next week.
So for now we sit in limbo. I am so happy that we did not buy a house.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments and keeping us in your thoughts.

Unknown
For the past couple of weeks we have been living in the unknown. You see there were rumors going around that the company my Hubby works for was going to be sold. The rumors started looking like they might be true as the days kept coming.
Well, yesterday it became official and was announced to the media and Hubby's company. They have been bought. The company that bought them is a pretty big company and they are adding Hubby's employer because they don't cover that market.
What does this mean? Well we don't have any idea. My Hubby could be out of a job. Today they are having a big company meeting explaining things. We hope to find out today if he still has a job or not.
This is very scary. I am just praying and having faith that we will be taken care of. It is all I can do really. Worrying doesn't do any good.
Please keep us in your thoughts.

Movies
Last Saturday I took the boys to see Kung Fu Panda. Overall I thought it was ok and kinda cute. There were a couple of times I laughed.
Big Cubby loved it. He thought it was awesome. There was one part when he leaned into me and said he was scared but it did not last long because there was always action.
Little Cubby was a different story. He did not like it. He was afraid most of the time. He sat on my lap and wimpered till the movie ended. He kept saying he did not like it.
Back at home both boys got Happy Meals from McDonalds and the toys were from Kung Fu Panda. Little Cubby liked them. He even like the preview of the movie my Hubby pulled up from the Internet. Funny because of his reaction to the movie. Maybe he was too young to see it. There were a lot of little kids his age and younger at the movie. It was rated PG.
I try to stick with G movies but it is hard now that Big Cubby will turn 7 and Little Cubby will turn 4 soon. There is a gap between what they like.
Both boys love the superheros even though they haven't seen any of the movies.

School's out for summer
Today was Big Cubby's last day of school. He is officially a first grader now. He has come along way from the beginning of the year. Remember when he cried and threw a fit going into the classroom. Well, now he doesn't want school to end. He likes it that much. Amazing.
We are very proud of him and happy that he likes school. We will see how he feels when school starts up in August.

Mom night out, Sex and the City
The title is two different things sorry to get your hopes up.
First, Mom's night out. Last week the Kindergarten moms got together for drinks. The first time I felt really uncomfortable and wasn't sure if I wanted to do it again. I am so glad I did because I had a great time. There were more moms there and everybody seemed more laid back. Got a little buzzed and really some fun. Don't worry I was in walking distance from the restaurant so I walked there and back.
Now school is out in two days and I am not sure if I will be in contact with some of these mom over the summer but I sure hope we do this again.
Sex and the City. I went the movies on Sunday to see this film. I enjoyed the show when it was on HBO. The movie was ok. There is nothing like sitting in the theater and the grandma and grandpa in front of you act like they are in their living room and talk a lot. Also, when the sex scenes did appear it was uncomfortable because granny and gramps are there and it felt like they were my grandparents. Weird huh?
Any way the movie seemed like a lot of episodes thrown together. I am in no way like any of these characters but I did find some points that I could relate to. I went home and thanked my husband for being patient with me and loving me.
The movie does not disappoint in the sex part. There is a lot. Overall, it was entertaining.

House update
We have looked a quite a few houses. A couple of weeks ago we made an offer on a house. Hubby went to our realtor and filled out paperwork(I stayed with the kids at home trying to do all that with kids would have been impossible)I really wished I was there you see our realtor told us to make this offer amount and we wanted to go lower but Hubby went along with it. The seller came back with a counter offer. I told Hubby it was too much and that we should have told our realtor no this is the offer we wanted. We declined to make another offer and stopped the process. We told our realtor we need time to get things order ie money before we proceed any further.
I just checked on the house and they have dropped the price again. I bet they wished they took our offer. Oh well it really wasn't a dream house anyway.
The stress of the whole process made me physically sick. Good advice from our family was don't put yourself into a situation where all you are doing is paying a mortgage and not being able to feed or clothe your family. That is where we might have been.
So for now we are staying in the house we are renting. Our landlord owns two more houses next to us and they might be available soon if so we are going to pick one and more there. We won't be behind a business and will have a yard also they have washer and dryer in them which would mean I could stop going to the laundrymat.
They say it is a buyers market right now but I will tell you where I live the people are delusional about what they want for their homes.

Moviegoer
For the past couple of months I have been going to the early movie on the weekends. That is a couple times a month. By myself.
That's right I have been taking mommy breaks while my hubby watches the kids. It has been great.
First the early movie only costs 5 bucks. I don't buy any of the food or drink there to save money and my waistline.
The lists of movies I have seen so far are as follows:
Juno (funny and sweet)
Definitely,Maybe (ok, Ryan Reynolds is hot)
Run Fat Boy Run (very funny)
Saving Sarah Marshall (very, very, very funny)
Baby Mama (funny and sweet)
It has been fun and relaxing.
A quick story about going to see Baby Mama yesterday. I went to the early movie and when the trailers started showing there was an obvious problem with the sound. The music would be really loud and when people would talk you could barely hear them. Several people got up to tell management about it. The movie started and you could not hear. A customer goes down to where the manager was standing in the theater and starts very loudly complaining and telling them to stop the movie until they get the sound fixed. The manager wouldn't so the woman said then we should get our money back and a free pass. Finally the manager relented and announced that she would do that. Everybody got up from their seats and got the refund and free ticket.
The movie was showing on two screens, so I went back later in the afternoon knowing that the time for the one I wanted was on the other screen. I got to see the movie for free.
I do like going early because it is usually under 20 people seeing the movie. It is like being in your own living room because everybody is spread out. The afternoon show was crowded.
I plan on seeing more movies in the future. I know that I will be seeing Sex in the City movie when it comes out. After that we will see.

house hunting
Last Sunday, we looked at 6 houses that are for sale. After we were done I wanted to throw up. I was so stressed. You see we have started the process of possibly buying a home. We have never done this before.
We are taking advantage of the VA loan that my Husband qualifies for. Good news is that there is no money down. The bad news is we found out that there is a considerable amount of money we have to come up with such as earnest money, closing costs, inspection costs, etc.
Yeah, we don't have that. We haven't saved anything because we live pay check to pay check. We made the decision that I would give up working and stay home to raise the kids. I feel strongly about this because I would basically be working for daycare anyway and it would not be worth it.
I can see why both parents work because unless one of them makes a whole lot of money they would need both incomes to get by.
I am scared and stressed right now. I don't know if this is a good idea. We have just recently got our financial side in order. We have paid off debt and our living comfortable right now. I don't know if I want to throw ourselves into debt and not be able to afford clothes and such. We have three growing kids. One a girl that has no clothes from hand me downs.
UGH, what to do. Tonight Hubby and I are sitting down and discussing if we can really do this now or should we wait. I know that the market is awesome right now for buyers but I don't know if it is worth it for us.
Like I said my stomache is killing me right now.

What I do for my children
Big Cubby has been taking swim lessons at our local YMCA. He has never been in a pool or gone swimming in his 6 years of life. So he is a little afraid of the water. He has been struggling in the class and I am not happy with the instructor there.
To help him out I decided to take him to the pool during family swim time to help him get comfortable with the water. I thought if he was with me he would feel more secure and safe. This meant I would have to buy a swimsuit. I have not put on a swimsuit in 16 years. You read right 16 years.
I decide to go to Target and look around. I don't want to spend a whole lot on a suit because I don't plan on using it that often. I walk up to the rack and quickly decide there is no way I am wearing a two piece. I look over the one piece suits find a couple I want to try on and head to the dressing room.
I get in and the room next to me has two young women possibly high school trying on suits as well. I know this because I can hear their whole conversation.
I try on the first suit and immediately hate it. My childbearing hips look so out of place. I try on the second suit. I feel like a sausage being shoved into its casing. I feel disgusting. Meanwhile, I am hearing the conversations of the little miss things about trying on two piece bathing suits and can't decide on which one so they want to buy both.
I feel old and disgusting at this point. I head back to the rack and look again. I find a suit that is two pieces. The top is a halter that comes down long and a skirt bottom. The suit seems to work. It hides my flaws. So I head out to buy it.
The links are the top and bottom of the same suit I bought.

Bottom
When I got to the YMCA all the other moms had the skirt bottom. I guess very popular with the mom set. I did not feel so bad then and once I got in the water it did not matter.
What I do for my kids. No one can doubt it.

Ticked off
I am so ticked off right now I need to get it out.
This morning when I took Big Cubby to school it was wet out from last night's rain and it was drizzle this morning. There is a door to his classroom where kids come in from outside so they line up there when the bell rings.
We walk up and two boys from his class are smacking each other with backpacks. A mother steps in and tells them to put their backpacks down. Big Cubby goes up and gets in line. This woman tells him to put his backpack on the ground because I guess she believes he will use it as a weapon. He comes running back to me and I tell him to pick up his backpack because the ground is wet and the bell is going to ring.
He goes back to get it and this woman stops him and tells him I told you to put your backpack down. I hear Big Cubby say something like the ground is wet and he points to me. She tells him then he better put it on his back.
At this time I am ticked off at this woman. I call Big Cubby over and she looks up. I give her this look that she better not be messing with my kid. I tell Big Cubby to stand by me until the bell rings.
I did not say anything to her because there were children around but I wanted to give her a few choice words.
I understand that the boys before us were being dangerous. I would have said something to them as well and have on different occasions when play turned in to possible harming but Big Cubby did not do anything to warrant her saying something. She just decided to lord over all the kids. I have told kids to stop what they were doing and get in line because the bell was going to ring but only to the ones that were doing something dangerous not every kid in line.
Here is the kicker, her kid is not even in Big Cubby's class. Her kid is in the other Kindergarten class and goes in a different door.
It really ticked me off. I take care of my child. I make sure he gets into class. I discipline him when he is not behaving.
I fumed all the way home about it. I called my husband to tell him about it and just get it out.
I am wrong to feel this way? I understand if he was doing something dangerous and I didn't see it. This is not that case.

I fumed all the way home about it. I called my husband to tell him about it and just get it out.
I am wrong to feel this way? I understand if he was doing something dangerous and I didn't see it. This is not that case.

Tooth Fairy

Last week Hubby pulled Big Cubby's loose tooth. This is his first tooth to come out. It had started to come loose a week before that. By the time Hubby pulled the tooth it was practically coming out. Big Cubby was scared at first. He asked me if he was going to die. After I told him that this was part of growing up and that he will get grown up teeth and that he was not going to die, he became excited.
The tooth fairy came to visit and left a dollar. Big Cubby immediately wanted to put it in his piggy bank.
He thinks it is cool now that he has a hole in his mouth. Boys.

So behind

8 months old

7 months old

6 months old
I am so behind with Ladybug updates so here are the 6 month, 7 month and 8 month update all rolled into one.
Ladybug you have flourished in the last three months.
You can roll over and stay sitting up by yourself.
You can from your belly push yourself backwards. You are really trying to get up on your knees and crawl.
You can say Mama, Dada, Lala, Baba.
You like to make noises with your lips and tongue. Like making the rasberry sound.
You can clap your hands.
You have two teeth now.
You like watching your brothers play.
You still get up a few times a night.
You are eating baby food now. You like everything but baby yogurt. That made you gag.
You are very smilely and happy.
You are pretty good when you go to a restuarant or shopping.
You like to smile at everybody we see.
When you do get upset you let us know with a very loud squeal.
You make lots of noises that makes Daddy question are you really a girl. You rival your brothers sometimes.
I might be missing something because you are growing and developing so fast I can hardly keep up.
You are a beautiful light in our family that makes us smile no matter what is going on.
We love you Ladybug.

Bully or Boy's play
Big Cubby has been difficult about going to school the past couple of weeks. I finally got out of him why he was upset. There is this one kid who has been picking on BC. I don’t know if this kid is a bully or this is how he plays. BC is not an aggressive player.
I have now witnessed two occasions where this kid has tried to push BC into a muddy patch by the school door. This first time it was a little girl and BC being pushed. Today was one of those occasions and I stepped in because the kid would not stop pushing BC. I went over and I sounded like a teacher. I said stop pushing. That is mean and someone could get hurt. Get in line the bell is going to ring. Then the bell rang.
The first time this happened was on Tuesday. I waited to see what would happen. It wasn’t excessive pushing like today. BC had a really bad day that day as we found out through parent/teacher conference last night. He refused to do any work. He was then not allowed to go to the computer lab. The teacher did not know about the incident that happened that morning because BC did not tell her.
I guess there have been other incidents going on class. They sit at the same table but starting Monday everyone is getting new seats so BC and this kid will not be sitting next to each other.
I am upset that this is affecting the way BC looks at school. He is a smart kid and the teacher says he does really well. He does have a few things to work on but overall he does get things they are learning.
This makes me sick to my stomach. Hubby and I have talked to him about it. The mama bear in me wants to rip this kid apart for upsetting my son. I have been calm and we are dealing with it on our end.
The teacher is aware that something is going on between the two and is now aware of one of the incidents before school. BC did not tell her about today and he got a note home from the teacher because he pushed a someone out of the way because he was in to big of a hurry to get mail from his box and he kissed a kid in his class. The same kid who he has a problem with. I think he is trying to show the boy that they can be friends oh I don’t know what he is thinking. Rule at school is no hugging and kissing that is for home. We drill this into him because he all ready had a note sent home about that.
BC is a lot like me. We get upset easily. We have nervous stomachs. We are socially awkward. I am shy when it comes to meeting new people and have trouble talking to people. We have only had one play date this year because I am afraid and feel awkward about the whole thing. I know this doesn’t help BC but I get paralyzed with fear thinking about initiate the first move.
I feel like I am screwing him up. UGH, I hate this! I hate this feeling.
What would you do?

Guitar Hero III Hostage
I am a Guitar Hero III hostage. I bought it online and received it last week and now I am addicted. I am only in easy mode and have done 9 out of 42 songs. It is awesome!!! I am so digging it and I am not half bad.
Unfortunely it has led to my slacking off in other areas of my life such as blog, children, husband, just kidding. It is not that bad. Everyone is getting fed around here.

Carded, weigh loss, vomit
Nice title huh?
Let me started with the weight loss. I took Ladybug to her 6 month check-up and she has lost 9 ounces and hasn't grown an inch since her 4-month visit. The doctor was somewhat concerned so he has put her on besides breastfeeding, cereal 2 to 6 Tbs twice a day, fruit 2 to 4 oz once a day, and vegetable 2 to 4 oz once a day. I have to take her back in a month to be weighed. She has tried two different cereals, bananas, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes so far and really likes them. I don't have a problem with her eating. She does want to nurse a lot and does wake up two to three times a night to nurse. I really think that I may not be producing enough milk. I am not to worried because she is healthy and alert. She is very active in her exersaucer and jumpy thing. But still you don't want to hear that your baby is losing weight. My niece is a little thing and the doctor was always concerned about her when she was a baby and she is fine. She is just a little skinny kid.
We move on to vomit. This morning Big Cubby complained about his head hurting and so we gave him some water thinking he might be dehydrated and just shortly after he threw up the water. He said he was dizzy. I called him absent to school and now he is lying on the couch. I looked up the symptoms and he could possibly have a migraine. It runs on my husband's side of the family. My mother-in-law and husband get them. I am trying not to panic. He is afraid to drink or eat anything because he does not want to throw up. I am keeping a eye on him the rest of the day.
Carded. Yesterday Hubby had an event for work close to home so when it was over he came home for the rest of the day. This allowed me to go out and have some Mommy time and get a break. I went to Chili's to have lunch by myself. I took the book I am reading right now, Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and took a seat. The waiter comes over and asks me would I like a drink while a looked over the menu. I ordered a beer and water and then he asks to see my ID. At first I thought he was trying to get a big tip from me by flattering me but that was not the case. Two women were seating behind me and when he went over to greet them the first thing he offered was a alcohol beverage. I noticed he did this to a few other tables that the people looked older. He did not offer me an alcohol drink. I was officially carded. The other people were not. This so totally made my day. I did give him a big tip because he made a 35 year old mother of three feel young.
Need to go and check on Big Cubby.

tooth, potty and beyond
Ladybug's tooth finally cut through and she is feeling better. Just in time for more teeth to come in. She has been sleeping well the past few nights. I still have to do her six month update on here. I am just going to wait until tomorrow because she has a doctor's appointment for 6 month check-up.
On to the potty. For a while now we have been trying to introduce the potty to Little Cubby. He is very resistant to this process. We have not pushed him just mention it. I bought him a potty just for him because he was scared of the big potty. He knows all the terms about potty and he even tells us when he as gone.
Well, last night was the last of the regular diapers for him. This morning when I changed him I put a Pull-Up on him instead. He totally freaked out about it. He tried to take it off and kept looking around for his diapers. I told him there were no more diapers and we have to use the Pull-ups from now on or he can use the potty. He finally calmed down over the Pull-ups at least until I have to change him and put another one on him.
He still wants to be the baby even though he says he is not a baby. This kid is stubborn.
I am so behind in blogging. I have been wanting to write about goals I have for 2008 and some of the things happening in my life but it has been exhausting keeping up with three kids and a husband. Trying to fit everything I need to do in a day has been very hard. So please hang in there and don't desert me. I really need you guys. As sad as it sounds, you are the only friends I have right now. I really appreciate your support.

Exhaustion
Sorry everybody I haven't been around the past week. We have a teething baby on our hands and is waking up all night for the past week. One tooth is finally cutting through I can feel it. I hope that all the first four are coming in at the same time and not just this one. What we have been through for this to be only one tooth I will just scream.
