Pink eye Christmas

We had a pink eye Christmas. Unfortunately, Big Cubby gave Little Cubby, Ladybug and I pink eye so we had to cancel our trip to visit family.

So we made the best of it. We had an awesome Christmas. We missed family but nothing beats not having to travel 6 hours in a van with three kids.

Christmas morning we had to wake the boys to come down to see what Santa had brought. After that we opened gifts. Big Cubby was so excited about all the stuff he got. He wasn’t to sure about the Wii until he tried it and he really likes playing the sports. It is funny when he smack talks his Daddy when they play the boxing game.

The Wii is pretty fun. I am so out of shape my shoulder and left hip hurts from playing the tennis game on it. How sad is that?

We are almost done with the cycle of eye drops and I think we got rid of the pink eye. I never got it when I was a kid so this was new to me. Pink eye sucks.

My in-laws you could tell were pretty upset about not getting to see the kids. They tried to let on it was ok but you could tell. They did understand. They did not want pink eye. They are going to make a trip up in January to bring the kids their presents and see them.

Overall Christmas was delightful. Here are a few pics from the day.

Pink eye

Tuesday after school Big Cubby was complaining about his eye hurting. One eye was a little red and I thought me might have scratched it while messing with his brother. 4:30 the next morning he wakes me up to tell me he can't open his eye. Well he had some sleep goobers in his eye so I wipe it way and his eye looks fine. He goes to school. That afternoon he complains about his eye again but this time it was really red. By the time Hubby got home, Big Cubby had lots of crusties and oozing from his eyes. Hubby says BC looks like a zombie. I use a warm wash cloth and place it over his eyes.

This morning both eyes looked bad. We have pink eye. I have quarntined BC and have been washing hands like crazy plus making BC wash his hands. I do not want the other two to get this right before Christmas. I kept him home from school today and will probably keep him home tomorrow as well.

It is so weird in October we went to visit my in-laws and BC got the flu the week before we left. Now we are about to go visit again for Christmas and he gets pink eye. He has been fine in between this time. Now I don't know if we are going to head down to visit family for Christmas. Hopefully tomorrow BC will be better and the other kids don't get this.

Not like I got enough stress right now that this tops everything off. I am going to have to go to the laundry mat tonight to wash towels and bedding. This is the time I really wished I had a washer and dryer. Let's pray next year we will be able to buy a house.

Was going to post Ladybugs 6 month update but it will have to wait until after Christmas.

Ladybug first

Last night Ladybug rolled over from her belly to back. She did it twice! A big milestone. When she did it the first time I think I scared her a little I started clapping and telling her good job. She then was smiling because of all the praise she did it again.

She also has been eating rice cereal which is really likes. We will be on to the next cereals, then veggies, then fruit. She is growing so fast.

She had a rough week sleeping again. Only two nights she did well and only woke up once around 4am. We thought it might be teething but I don't think so. I wish it were teething then we would know what to do to soothe her. So, sleeping around here as not been fun. I am not looking forward to visiting family Christmas it put the kids schedule out of whack so when we get back they are not fun to deal with. So ho, ho, ho.

Big Cubby's party experience

Big Cubby was invited to his first birthday party last weekend. It was at a place called Pump It Up. A indoor inflatable playground. I was nervous at first because I wasn't sure if I was suppose to stay or drop him off. When we got there I found out it was drop off. BC did not want me to stay anyway so it was a good thing it was drop off.

I was relaxed after we left and time flew by and it was time to pick him up again. He had an awesome time. He was pumped up with a lot of sugar so he came crashing down pretty hard and his stomache was hurting. Overall a good time.

My little guy is growing up.

Little Cubby saying

Every morning when Littel Cubby wakes up he comes downstairs and asks "Please turn on Christmas". He is referring to the Christmas tree. How can I say no to that?

Wallowing in self pity

It has been awhile since I have posted. Chalk it up to just being busy attending to four people needs. I have been running around getting Christmas shopping done.

Tonight is Hubby's work holiday party they have invited spouses but I am not going. I don't know anybody so I don't know any babysitters plus going into the city and leaving the baby with a stranger for the first time does not sound to appealing. If my in-laws were here no problem but they live 6 hours away. So Hubby is going and won't be home till late. I am having a really long day with the kids and can not wait until they go to bed. (it is only 1:30pm right now)

I have been feeling sorry for myself lately. I am disgusted by my flabby stomach and spreading arse. I know I should exercise. We have a gym membership but I can't seem to get my arse off the couch. I am tired.

Which leads me to Ladybug decided last week that she was going to get up every hour because she misses me. We are having separation anxiety right now. So we started sleep training so she can soothe herself back to sleep. It worked over the weekend but last night she was up several times. I am tired.

The boys can not be trusted so I really can not nap. So too tired to workout, to tired to concentrate on a book, to tired to function. My life right now.

Little Cubby has no interest in the potty even after we bought him is own.

Big Cubby has some sort of oral fixation where he chews on his sleeves or neck of shirt.

Hubby is doing awesome at his new job which is great.

I really don't know what I am talking about right now. Got to go Ladybug is demanding to be picked up.
