I should laugh about this later

I was talking to my husband on the phone and getting Big Cubby's lunch ready when I walked back in the living room and Big Cubby is sitting on the couch with the sunscreen and one of his legs the color of white. He was rubbing like it was lotion. He had his shirt off and it was on his chest, arms, hair, back, and feet. It was on the floor, couch, blanket, remote. I put him in the tub and he proceeded to touch his privates so then it was white. I would have taken a picture of this but was totally pissed at that moment. Little Cubby decided to wake just then so he was crying in the bedroom while I tried to get the stuff off Big Cubby.
So now I got him cleaned some what up. I tried rinsing out his shorts but I think it will have to be washed several times. I am having vasoline flashback.

Breathe, Breathe, Breathe. That is what I am telling myself.

Quote of the day

I was playing a air guitar for Big Cubby(don't ask) and I was lifting my leg up and playing and Big Cubby says "that's a big butt" I said what did you say. He said "that's a big butt in my face." Oh, that makes me feel so much better.

Little Cubby getting big

I can't believe my Little Cubby is getting big. He is starting to walk along things will holding on. Before I know it he is going to be walking. He has started getting into things such as pulling books off the selves. I remember Big Cubby doing that and it would upset me maybe because he ripped out pages. Now when Little Cubby does it I am more mellow about it. He pulls out a book sits down and looks at it. He hasn't ripped out anything yet. I guess the second time around you get more mellow about things. I was a freak with Big Cubby. Always worried about him getting hurt. Now I know they are more resilient. I can give Little Cubby more space to explore. You always screw up the first child because they are the experimental ones. I am a first born and I am totally screwed up.

Last night

Yesterday we went out to the suburbs to see family. My in-laws were up visiting. We had a nice time but I hate going out there. It really messes up the baby's schedule and he is over stimulated which means last night was hell. He woke up six times during the night. He is addicted to the boob and it is the only way to calm him down and go back to sleep. It was exhausting. We were making progress for four nights in a row with only one waking. So today he is very needy. He is not used to a lot of people holding him. So today I am a walking zombie. My older son keeps asking "come play with me mommy" because he is feeling neglected. I try to give him one on one time but it is hard with the baby being so needy. I feel like a circus performer trying to juggle and keep everyone entertained. Enough negativity. I am going to make some cookies and start to feel better.

Yah Woo

The Cubs took the series with the White Sox! I am doing a happy dance. Cubs really needed this boost. I hope it continues. My new boyfriend is Todd Walker. He is such a cutie even his wife is adorable. Anyway very excited we beat the White Sox.

TGIF

I am glad tomorrow is Saturday. My husband will be home and can help out with the boys. The weather the past two days has been hotter than hades. There is a heat warning with the heat index going to 105. I think if you step outside you will burst into flames. Today starts the Taste of Chicago which is a huge eating fest where you can try tons of different restaurants. It runs from June 24-July 4. The best part is free concerts with big names. L.L. Cool J. opens the fest tonight. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Los Lonely Boys, Santana, Morris Day and the Time, and Donna Summer just to name a few. Actually those are the ones I am interested in. Anyway, a very busy weekend. The crosstown games start today. Cubs vs. White Sox. Cubs are in trouble because White Sox are one of the best teams right now coming off a 7 game win streak. Also my in-laws are coming up this weekend. We will see them on Sunday when we go to my husbands grandparents house. It is going to be a very busy weekend.

WHY!!!!!!!!!

Cubs lost today 7-8. The Brewers beat them. They suck! Now we have to deal with the White Sox this weekend who are hot right now. Double suck!

Why or why must I feel this way

OK first the Cubs lost last night. Why do I put myself through this game after game? They rip out my heart and stomp on it. I have to hurry the Cubs play at 1pm today.

All right I can not get out of the dumps. I am still feeling a little depressed and emotional and I don't know why. I really need to get out of the funk.

Blah Day

Feeling depressed today. I don't know what it is just feeling bummed. I hate when I get like this. Good news the Cubs won last night. There are two more games with the Brewers then this weekend they play the White Sox. I hate cross town games. I hope the Cubs can sweep the Brewers and the Cardinals lose.

Bring out the Gimp

This weekend I did something stupid. Big Cubby was playing at the park and got stuck on one of the climbing things and was calling for help. I was on a sloping bridge of the jungle gym so I turned around to walk down and my flip flops slipped and I slid down. Luckily I did not fall on my ass. Then I turn and my ankle slightly turns. I think wow that kind of hurt but forgot it as I went to save Big Cubby. I went the whole day with no pain. Around 3pm I just came back from getting Cub Daddy a Starbuck's treat when I sat down and my ankle started throbbing. Next it is unbearable pain. I can not walk on it and no position was comfortable to rest it. I don't know what I did to it. I think I slightly sprained it. What a pain. Cub Daddy was awesome. He wrapped up my ankle and then took care of the boys. He fed them. He bathed them and got them ready for bed. He put them to bed. He got my dinner ready and made sure I was comfortable. All this and it was his day to relax. This is why I love you so much. He takes care of us no matter what.

Father's Day Weekend

The weekend was wonderful. My husband had a great weekend. We went to the beach and the boys got to play with their Daddy in the sand. We had a nice lunch at one of my husbands favorite places to eat. The weather was beautiful not to hot.

Little Cubby test results

Little Cubby had his 9 month check-up on Monday and the doctor was concerned about his lips being pale so he ordered a blood test to check his iron levels. The doctor called with the results and on the scale the lowest you can go and be normal is 11. Little Cubby is 10.3 so he is a little anemic. I have to give him a iron supplement called Fer-In-Sol. I am little worried about it. He is my baby and it seems everytime we go to the doctor there is a concern with him. I hate going to the doctor. Little Cubby is healthy. He is crawling around with great speed and is pulling himself up on the furniture. As a mother, I can not help worrying about him.

Low Self Esteem Day

I am not feeling all that great about myself today. I feel I can't do anything right. Do you ever feel that way or is it just me?

Morning of Pee

This morning I was woken up by Big Cubby letting me know he peed in his bed. This is only the second time since we gave up Pull-ups at night a month ago. So I got him changed and changed his sheets. When I finished I heard Little Cubby crying in his crib. I go in and he had filled his diaper with pee and it leaked out so he was wet. I think it was a conspiracy to make mommy crazy this morning. Big Cubby has done well with keeping dry at night. He does one thing that drives me crazy. He will get up in the middle of the night and get water from the fridge. I have put a lock on it but he knows how to open that. I have cut him off from drinking anything at 6pm because his bedtime is 8pm. I don't know how to keep him out of the fridge. Well it is only 10am and I am sure there will be more adventures today.

I don't know how to have a conversation with out pee or poo mentioned in it. Sad.

Sleep issues

Little Cubby slept from 8pm to 3:40am last night then woke up again at 8am. I am very excited since he has not slept the whole night since he was born. I usually have to get up three times a night. The doctor isn't any help he told us we are in the separation anxiety stage and we have to go to him when he cries. I am exhausted. I am nursing still but I am not making enough milk so I have to try to supplement. Little Cubby likes to nurse for comfort. It gets very tiring. He will use the pacifier sometimes but nothing compares to mommy. Any advice on how to get a 9 month old to drink formula?

New to blogging

I have decided to start a blog. I am not sure if I will be as witty as dooce or entertaining as Rockstar Mommy but I felt the need to join a group of women with the same interest: Children. I hope you will read and enjoy and please make any comments. I can always use some advice.

CSI in Cub Nation

Last night William Peterson was at Wrigley Field to throw out the first pitch and to sing the seventh inning stretch. I find him sexy and I don't know why. Maybe because he is a true Cubs fan.
