Last night I finally got Hubby to talk about what is going on with him. There are a lot of things going on with him right now. Work being the big one. There was even something that I have been doing and did not realize it was bothering him.
I told him that we were husband and wife and that we need to communicate with each other. I told him I felt like the nanny or the babysitter not his wife. He really opened up to me. Today he told me that he feels better getting it all out and that even though nothing is really solved he feels good about the future.
Thank you everyone for your advice and for letting me vent this out. It is really personal to me and I was afraid to put it out there. I know that everything is not perfect but we have a starting point and that is talking no matter how it will affect the other person. We just can't hold it in.
We both feel a big relief right now.

There will always be dark days, but without the dark days there's no such thing as sunshine. And sunshine always follows. I'm glad things are better.
Whew! I'm so glad to hear that. I agree with Misery....the sun will always follow, even if it is in a way that we didn't expect.
You'll get there!
I'm so glad to hear that. By the way, love the pictures of the boys! I just want to eat Little Cubby up!!
That is good news! And I love the title of your post. I am north of you and literally the sun just peeked out the other day for the first time in over two weeks! I felt like it was Cinco de Mayo or my birthday. Ha! I think these endless gray days can really take their toll on us in so many ways.
It's funny how men tend to let themselves be defined by their jobs. I just got to you from a comment you left on mine, and thanks! I don't know what your spiritual life is like, but if you pick up the book "The Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormy Omartin, it makes more sense than anything I have read about men and it helped me figure out how to help my husband through God, instead of me trying to nag him into change. Even if you are not a Christian, it has wonderful relationship advice. I'd even be happy to send you my copy. No one can do for your husband what he must do for himself, but the quiet ways in which you choose to support him can mean all the difference. Just a thought. BTW, your boys are gorgeous!!!!
This is great news! Glad to hear it.
