Credit Fraud

We have become a victim of credit fraud. Someone in used my Hubby's credit to purchase two things totaling $1000. It was done this week. Hubby has the card in his possession so someone must have written down the number while he was traveling. It is Hubby's account so I don't have a card.

It has all been taken care of and he will be issued a new card.

This is very scary thing. I shred all our bills and credit card applications. I always make sure that I put dirty diapers or coffee grounds to wet the shreded papers.

You just never know.

OMG. That's horrible news. I hope you guys aren't responsible for those transactions. How awful!

It happened to my hubby years ago, even before the internet made information so public. It is frightening and a headache. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

Yikes! Just what you need right now--another thing to worry about, right? At least it wasn't a debit card accessing your bank accounts. My husband had this happen to him before we were married, and since it was his real money that was gone, it look a VERY long time to straighten out with the bank. Like a year or two, if I remember the story right.
